Educational Services Our Education programme targets a wide range of people and sessions can be individually tailored to meet your student’s needs. The company delivers its work through a variety of ways but we strongly recommend the use of specially designed projects for school use, to achieve the best results. Theses projects are tailor-made to the needs of the participants focusing on creativity, covering cross-curricular work, the healthy schools agenda and particular strands of the National Curriculum for Physical Education. Ancient Greek history/mythology has been a very successful aspect of our teaching program using creative tasks to get the imagination flowing. In addition, Greek dance has been used to encourage YP to appreciate a variety of cultures increasing social awareness and to help tackle racism, enriching the school’s education. Or you may use a Greek Dance day, simply to give pupils a day of entertainment. I am sure you will find our programs to be thoroughly entertaining as well as educational. Most of our projects can lead to a final presentation. These projects are carried out by a qualified and experienced tutor specialising in dance in education and 20 yrs experience in this field. The Greek Dance Projects last one or more days to enable the teachers to make full use of the companies’ skills We work either with a variety of key stages or with the same group for a whole day. We welcome all age groups, including infants, mixed ability classes and special needs. Greek Rhythms is CRB checked and has its own insurance cover. We choreograph our own dance shows which includes energetic and original dance routines. Greek dance on a different level, the unexpected and not the usual, to entertain and amuse the audience Our performance are exciting and entertaining they vary in duration and character. The number of dancers involved can vary form two to thirty people at the same time. The public love our colourful original costumes as all the dancers are dressed in full traditional costume of the particular area from where the dances originate. A program of dances is design by a qualified, experience choreographer, according to customers needs. The company will start work on the designed program making sure the best of standards are delivered on the day of your event. The appropriate traditional music is provided for each program. Audience Workshop An audience workshop can follow the performance where the public is invited to participate. An experienced instructor with small team of dancers will lead the audiences into the Greek spirit by instructing them to Greek entertaining dances. We can take care of all the technical requirements at your event.
